Wildlife
Growing up in South Africa, we have a deep appreciation of wildlife. One of our very favourite things is driving through a wildlife reserve in South Africa, like the Kruger Park or Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Africa is world-famous for its Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) but also for its diversity of fauna and flora.
We are also very fortunate to live very close to a wildlife and nature reserve in the Netherlands, called the Oostvaardersplassen. Wildlife we encounter here are Red Deer, Konik Horses, Heck Cows, Roe Deer, Foxes and loads of hares. The latter being rather difficult to capture while you’re cycling, because they’re as quick as flash and before you can say “Cheese” they’ve hopped and skipped away.
