Red Deer
Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) live in most of Europe, as well as parts of Asia and North America. Some even inhabit Northern Africa, although their numbers are declining in this region. The European Red Deer is adapted to living in a woodland environment, especially over Winter. These photographs were in the Oostvaardersplassen Nature Reserve, which is close to where we live. In the rutting season, the males come out of hiding to attract the females, which is great because it makes it a little easier for us to take photographs of them.
Aside from resizing and adding a watermark, we haved edited our photographs as little as possible to show them as they really are. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
